      Target the hair follicle

      The laser will work on hair in the anagen phase (The anagen phase is the active growth phase of hair follicles. During this phase, the cells in the root of the hair divide rapidly, adding to the hair shaft.) The device targets the pigment in the hair follicle. It is most effective with skin/hair combinations with high contrast, i.e. brown hair, medium hair and dark hair matched with fair, light, olive or medium brown complected skin tones.       The 810nm diode laser penetrates the hair follicle, and then the pigment in the hair follicle is immediately heated.
